Re: Sea-Doo® Spark® - Audio Portable System May Dislodge
Dear BRP Customer,
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of Transport Canada, the United States Coast Guard (USCG) and other applicable laws. BRP is conducting a safety recall.
Our records show that you have purchased a potentially affected watercraft.
What is the potential problem?
The tabs of the Audio Portable System may break and cause the Audio Portable System to dislodge from its support. If this occurs, the Audio Portable System may hit the user and/or passenger and lead to serious injury or even death.
Which models are involved?
All 2019 to 2021 and some serial numbers of 2022 Sea-Doo Spark personal watercraft, with an Audio Portable System from the factory.
What should you do?
BRP will repair your watercraft at no cost.
The repair is NOT yet available.
Information about the repair will be announced before the end of June 2022.
BRP will send you a second letter when the repair will be available at your BRP dealer.
If your watercraft was subject to the previous safety recall, bulletin 2019-11, for the Audio Mounting System, your watercraft will need to be repaired again.
Can I continue to ride my watercraft until the repair?
Yes, but you need to remove the Audio Portable System from the watercraft before riding or trailering.
What to do if you feel you have received this notice by mistake?
This notice was mailed to you according to the most current information we have available.
If you no longer own this watercraft or some information regarding your name or address are incorrect, please contact BRP at your earliest convenience.
