Sea-Doo® linQ™ cooler - Potential entrapment and suffocation hazard

Re: Sea-Doo® LinQ™ Cooler - Potential Entrapment and Suffocation Hazard

Dear Sea-Doo® Owner,

As you may have heard, a safety campaign on the LinQ Cooler present on the model year 2019 Sea-Doo Fish Pro personal watercraft and sold as an accessory was released in Canada and other countries meant to address an issue with the cooler latch that can automatically lock when the lid closes, allowing a person to become locked inside, posing entrapment and suffocation hazards.

  • BRP is working with the relevant authorities in the United States to get a solution to this issue released as soon as possible. The dealer will perform this work at no charge to you.
  • In the meantime, consumers should immediately put the coolers out of the reach of children.

Which models are involved?

Model year 2019 Sea-Doo Fish Pro.
