We know, there’s a lot to think about when it comes to buying a personal watercraft – like what will you use it for? Is comfort the most important thing to you or is power paramount? But first, we’ll go back to a few basics and answer a few of the most common questions we get when riders set out on their first Sea-Doo adventure.
1. What's the difference between a Ski and a Sea-Doo?
Well, we’re the world’s number one when it comes to personal watercraft for a reason. For over 25 years we’ve been going against the tide with innovative designs and the latest technology to bring the best personal watercraft to the market. Most importantly, we’re inspired by riders’ needs on the water – we’re riders ourselves – we know exactly what will make the Sea-Doo difference, fun and fun again.
2. How does a Sea-Doo work?
When you ride a Sea-Doo, it’s all about high performance coupled with reliability. It’s not just about gimmicks and tricks on the water (though we do love watching those jaw-dropping turns and twists) – the Sea-Doo engine is a Rotax for fuel efficiency and complete peace of mind with its Closed Loop Cooling System. It’s also got some powerful acceleration to get up to speed quickly and to tow anything with ease.
We design our platforms with safety in mind too. Stability is key, plus we want you to have fun on a Sea-Doo so we include things like swim platforms and modular seating for picnicking. The Polytec material is scratch resistant, and our hull designs allow for different rider needs.
3. What to look for when buying a Sea-Doo?
The beauty of a Sea-Doo is that there are different personal watercraft models for different rider styles and needs.
For example, the SPARK TRIXXTM is designed for those who love nothing more than pulling off tricks on the water, while the GTX LIMITEDTM gives you added room for chilling out when you’re not enjoying the performance its Rotax engine. And the FISH PROTM is designed for fishing enthusiasts to be able to reach the nooks and crannies no other boat can reach.
What’s more, you have the option to customize your Sea-Doo to suit your needs and add on accessories to enhance your on-water experience.
There’s nothing off limits.

4. Where to buy a personel watercraft?
You’ll need to look for your local Sea-Doo dealer who will happily help you decide on the best model for you. We have dealers all across the UK who know all there is to know. It’s best calling them in advance to check their current opening hours.
They can provide quotes, arrange demo drives and have all the information you need to make the best decision for you.
