The Pantanal Region of Brazil is one of Mother Nature’s most pristine and diverse ecosystems. With 80% of it submerged during the rainy season, exploring by water is often the best chance to discover it.
Photographer Ricardo Martins knew his best chance of fulfilling his dream was spotting the jaguar from the water where the riverbanks would offer an unobstructed view of the animal.
Navigating the maze of waters aboard his Sea-Doo gave Martins the ability to explore further into the Pantanal than most can. Eventually, he had a jaguar clearly in focus and his dream was now a reality.
