SAFETY AND SEAMANSHIP
No matter what size Sea-Doo SportBoat you purchase, it is your responsibility to know and obey the "rules of the road". The best way to become a knowledgable boater is to take a Safe Boating Course through your local Marine Patrol or Power Squadron. This certification provides you with a basic understanding of what every boat operator should know to become a safe and courteous boater.
Understanding and remembering the following guidelines is a great start:
- Know your boat - Get familiar with your boat before you go out!
- Know your Boat's Capacity- Don't overload!
- Be safe and courteous at the dock and the ramp - Respect others!
- Insure your boat is Coast Guard approved - Have the required equipment!
- Know your water and weather conditions - Listen to your local forecast

Passing Port to Port
When approaching another vessel to your port (left) you can proceed normally.
Passing Starboard to Starboard
When approaching another vessel to your port (right) you can proceed normally.
Meeting Head to Head
When approaching a boat head on, always keep to the starboard (right).
