BRP’S 2009 SEA-DOO GTX LIMITED IS WATERCRAFT WINS A RECORD NUMBER OF AWARDS

Valcourt, Québec, Canada – April 8, 2009 – BRP has received a record number of awards from media and associations around the world for its revolutionary new Sea-Doo GTX Limited iS watercraft. The GTX Limited iS watercraft has recently been named the 2009 "Watercraft of the Year" by Watercraft World magazine and winner of a red dot product design award in the Transports category.

Other coveted awards received by BRP for the Sea-Doo GTX Limited iS include:

            • The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) Innovation Award
            • The United States Coast Guard Office of Auxiliary and Boating Safety (USGC) Award
            • 2009 "Best of the Year Award" from MotorBoating Magazine
            • Best of 2009 Cabin Life Magazine – "2009 PWC Pick of the Year"
            • Arabian Gulf Yachting Magazine - Best Power Yacht in the Middle East
            • Poland Wind and Water Show - Best New Product under 7m (21 ft)

Watercraft World magazine is one of the industry's leading personal watercraft publications. It annually chooses the watercraft that best defines new standards in three major categories: innovation, long-term impact and market appeal. The Watercraft World editorial staff chose the revolutionary Sea-Doo GTX Limited iS model, featuring iCONTROL technology, for re-defining the personal watercraft industry in all three categories.

Watercraft World magazine editors noted that BRP's 2009 Sea-Doo GTX Limited iS watercraft is a “model that will drive change…not to mention change the way we drive. A model that strives to be not unique, but unique in a practical manner that enthusiasts can appreciate.”

They also explained that the intelligent suspension, award-winning braking system, and ability to start in neutral at the dock, to little touches like a hinged seat and a gauge display that pivots in unison with the tilting handlebars: “All combine to literally shove, not just push, the pace of innovation. All will have a certain degree of market appeal. And all will certainly have longlasting effects on the personal watercraft industry.”

“The 2009 Sea-Doo GTX Limited iS watercraft will change the way people enjoy the water by offering them more control than ever,” said Roch Lambert, vice-president – general manager, North American Sales & Marketing Ski-Doo/Sea-Doo/Evinrude division. “These awards are a tribute to the innovative spirit all BRP employees share. It is in our DNA to change the standard Page 2 by which all recreational products are measured and the Sea-Doo GTX Limited iS watercraft is the latest in that long standing heritage.”

The international "red dot design award" is the largest and most renowned design competition in the world. This year, an international jury reviewed and evaluated over 11,000 submissions from 61 countries and chose BRP's 2009 Sea-Doo GTX iS Limited watercraft as one of the "best product design in of 2009". For more information on the red dot design awards and a list of the 2009 winners, visit red-dot.de.

Chris Dawson, vice-president – general manager, BRP International division, stated: “This technology and the new innovative design are making waves around the world. Journalists, design experts, regulatory bodies, and marine enthusiasts in every country have been calling the iCONTROL system a revolution and believe that the future of how a consumer will access and experience waterways has changed. These awards certainly reinforce that belief.”

The 2009 GTX Limited iS watercraft is the eighth Sea-Doo model to win the coveted Watercraft of the Year award. Previous Sea-Doo watercraft winners include the 1991 XP, 1992 GTX, 1997 XP, 2000 RX DI, 2002 GTX 4-TEC, 2004 RXP, and 2006 GTI models.
