2008 HYDRO-TURF APBA WATERCROSS NATIONAL HEADS TO ORANGE BEACH ALABAMA

EASTPOINTE, MI - The American Power Boat Association (APBA) is excited to announce that the U.S. National Tour for Watercross Racing will make its inaugural stop in Orange Beach, Alabama this weekend. The 2008 HYDRO-TURF APBA Watercross National Tour, presented by Sea-Doo, features a six-event, eleven-round series that will determine the U.S. National Tour Champions in eleven Pro-Am and Expert racing classes including Women’s classes. The 2008 series consists of five double rounds events spread throughout the United States, plus the APBA Watercross Nationals in Nashville, Tennessee, as the final stop. The Tour also makes stops in Parker, Arizona; Myrtle Beach, SC; Rochester, New York; and Harbor Beach, Michigan.

TOYOTA US OPEN OF WATERCROSS

Onondaga Lake – June 1st, 2008 — The First Annual Toyota US Open of Watercross, held on Onondaga Lake, was a great success! More than $15,000 in cash and prizes were awarded to over one hundred entries from the United States, Canada, Argentina, and Russia as they competed against their highly motivated and skilled peers for the Toyota US Open National Championships. Jimmy Wilson 19, from Hebron, OH aboard his Kawasaki walked away with the Pro-Am Ski GP Championship Title. Scott Wilk 19, from Mineral, VA earned a title in the Pro-Am Runabout 1200 Open. All the racers preformed spectacularly and we look forward to Syracuse becoming a permanent stop on the Toyota/Sea Doo United States National Championship.
